OverComers SAFE Haven Ministries

The OverComers-SAFE Haven Ministries (OSHM) have transformed over 800 lives with a 97% success rate using faith-based principles since our inception in 1992. Since 2001 we have been a self-funded organization, but we have not stopped providing free services to those who need us.

We are committed to reducing violence and economically empowering individuals and communities where poverty and violence is prevalent.

2008 is going to be an exciting year for the OverComers-SAFE Haven Ministries. We are launching several new programs, including this new book series:

“God! I Want to Sin!” reveals that sin is simply negative behaviors and also reveals how Christians and others do want to sin. Ignoring the facts will not help a person to develop personally and spiritually. Sin can be use to help a person grow and heal.	“The Fruit of My Behavior” explains how we all have been conditioned to form negative behaviors. It also explains how a person can use the Fruit of the Spirit to overcome those negative behaviors so one can mature and restore.	“Stopping the Violence” is a mentoring workshop guide that is based on a 97% success rate at stopping violence among youth. This book will help you reach and work with young people who exhibit negative behaviors. • Life Skills Workshops. Our life skills programs are ideal for both young people and adults who need to overcome behavior and self-esteem challenges to attain their goals
  
  
• Book Launches. OSHM will be launching a new book series called "I Am An OverComer." It examines the negative behaviors we fall victim to and how we can turn those into positive learning experiences

• Empowering South Shore Residents. Lorraine Y. Bogan has been a resident of Chicago's South Shore neighborhood for 44 years. Because of this, The OverComers-SAFE Haven Ministries is dedicated to providing services that uplift and encourage community residents.
